Despite the folder name, these are OpenEmbedded-classic's netBook Pro
patches against LINUX 2.6.17, from linuxtogo.org/~koen, dated July 2006.
Psion's own kernel is 2.6.9-rc1-bk18-nb1 and is in
../../extracted-source-trees/linux-2.6.9/.

*** THE defconfig IS NOT THE CONFIGURATION OF THE SHIPPED KERNEL, AND
READING IT AS IF IT WERE PRODUCED A WRONG CONCLUSION DURING THIS
PROJECT. ***
It lists PPP and the Bluetooth stack as modules (=m). In the 2.6.9 kernel
the released images actually boot, all of them are built in. That was
established by inflating nBkProOs.img_cf and finding the banner strings a
built-in driver registers -- "PPP generic driver version 2.4.2",
"Bluetooth: Core ver %s", "RFCOMM ver %s", "mmcblk", "pxamci", "IrCOMM",
"CSLIP".
If you want to know what the running kernel contains, INFLATE IT AND LOOK.
Do not infer it from a defconfig that may belong to a different kernel
entirely. See docs/08-INVENTORY-AUDIT.md in the project for the full write-up
of how that mistake was made and caught.
WHAT IT IS GOOD FOR
It is a real, later port of this hardware to a much newer kernel, by
people who knew the machine. netbookpro.c and the PCon patches are
useful reading if you want to understand the power controller. It is
just not Psion's, and not 2.6.9.
