AbiWord 2.0.11 and balsa 2.2.2 in particular are gone from their own
archives -- GNOME's keeps only balsa 1.x. Most were recovered from the
Internet Archive's copy of gpe.linuxtogo.org.
WHY ASPELL IS HERE TWICE
Psion pinned aspell 0.50.5 with the 0.50-2 dictionary. The base root
filesystem already carries the aspell 0.60.3 runtime
(libaspell.so.15.1.2) pulled in for balsa and enchant, and balsa links
libaspell.so.15 directly. A 0.50 dictionary is format-incompatible with
a 0.60 runtime, and swapping the library would break balsa -- so the
dictionary was built to match the runtime that is really there. Both
versions are shipped so the choice can be reversed. A deliberate
deviation from Psion, recorded in PROVENANCE.txt.
NOT RECOVERED
gkdial 1.8.1 -- 1.8.0 is built instead, and takes all three of
Psion's patches
xtscal 0.6.2 -- Psion patched it to keep touchscreen calibration in
the netBook's NVRAM; that patch has nowhere to apply
abiword 2.0.12 -- Psion's final version, whose patch is 17,995 lines
against 2.0.11's 4,515. The tarball survives nowhere.
