SECOND SWEEP -- upstream netBook Pro / Psion Linux material =========================================================== Recovered 2026-09-27, after the auditeon oe-netbook find. THE KEY REALISATION OpenEmbedded upstream absorbed netBook Pro support. The oe-classic repository (github.com/openembedded/openembedded) is STILL LIVE and carries conf/machine/netbook-pro.conf, a netbook-pro kernel recipe, and tslib/base-files config for the machine. Nothing else found in the first sweep pointed at it. netbook-pro-kernel/ Linux 2.6.17 support for this exact machine. All eight patches + defconfig recovered from linuxtogo.org/~koen/ via the Wayback Machine, and every one MD5-VERIFIED against the checksums in oe-classic's netbook-pro-kernel_2.6.17.bb. netbook-base-r0/r1/r2/r3.patch platform support (r3 is the one the recipe uses) netbook-pcon-r0.patch power controller netbook-pcon-i2c-r0/r1.patch pcon over i2c netbook-pm-r0.patch power management; NOT referenced by the recipe, found by sweeping the directory defconfig kernel configuration netbookpro.c arch/arm/mach-pxa/netbookpro.c, by Ben Dooks, Simtec Electronics, 2004 -- the machine support file oe-classic/ The recipes themselves, from the live repo. gpe-releases/ GPE release tarballs, recovered from the archived mirror at gpe.linuxtogo.org (2,369 URLs archived; the whole release tree is there -- gpe-appmgr 2.0-2.8, gpe-buttonbox 0.1-0.5, minimix 0.1-0.9, gpe-today, gpe-taskmanager and more). gpe-buttonbox-0.5.tar.bz2 MD5 verified against oe-classic gpe-appmgr-2.8.tar.gz MD5 verified against oe-classic minimix-0.6.tar.bz2 the version Psion pinned -- SOLVED the volume icon: 0.6 ships a single blue glossy speaker minimix.png, whereas the newer minimix on the GPE rootfs blits the black GNOME stock_volume set. The blue speaker in the photographs is this. STILL NOT FOUND soho-image-netbook-pro-*.rootfs.tar.bz2 / .jffs2 -- nothing, anywhere. Psion's CVS (cvs.psiondev.com, nexus.psiondev.com): psiondev.com has exactly ONE URL ever archived. It was never crawled. gpe-appmgr tag GPE_APPMGR_56 -- the TODAY/PROGRAMS/TASKS sidebar. Confirmed absent from upstream: gpe-appmgr 2.8 is the LAST release ever made, and its source contains no TODAY/TASKS/vertical-tab code at all. There is no appmgr release above 2.8. The sidebar was Psion's own work and does not survive.
