OVERVIEW OF THIS RELEASE
***********************************************************************************************
Further changes to I2C bus communication for increased reliability.

***********************************************************************************************
SPECIAL NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS.
***********************************************************************************************
Netbook units in the field with PCon version earlier than -310 (K224j), which have never
had their PCon upgraded via YModem or storage card, might fail when a PCon upgrade
is attempted. That problem fix was in the -310 release of BooSt and PCon, and is
included in this release.

The result of the failure is a unit that will not power on, and cannot get into BooSt.
The only way to recover a dead unit is to reprogram PCon using flashm16.exe and the
serial port, usually done at a repair depot.

To allow earlier PCons to avoid this problem, UPGRADE TO THIS BOOST (-402)
FIRST, then upgrade the PCon to -402. In future, should downgrading of either be
necessary, it should be safe as long as either BooSt or PCon is kept at the -311
level or higher. (In this context "safe" means that the change can be reversed, not
necessarily that a particular combination of BooSt and PCon and OS, will work properly.)

When units are upgraded to -402, BooSt, PCon and the OS must be taken to -402 at the
same time.

An upgrade script that explicitly loads and runs the new boost before upgrading PCon,
is distributed with field upgrade packages for the Netbook Pro.

If upgrading from a BooST release earlier than E134, run the ecc memory
check command from the BooST menu after the upgrade. (The distributed upgrade script includes
this command.)

Type: Intermediate
Date Code:	E195o
Version:	1000981-402

SCR 10209
Corrects a condition causing a hung OS to require cold start rather than a warmboot to recover.

Type: Full
Date Code:	C095l
Version:	1000981-400

SCR 7586
FAT 32 formatted CF and SD/MMC cards can now be read by BooSt. Note that the special case of
CF boot cannot be done from FAT 32 CF cards. CF Boot can support only FAT 16 or FAT 12 formatted
cards, and does not support extended partitions.

OTHER:
Correct spelling of "resetting" in BooSt products
Added support for additional FAT partition types and states.
Fix accelerated scroll operation (BooSt screen was not always scrolling properly)
Date: Nov 30 2004
Type: Intermediate
Date Code:	K304p
Version:	1000981-311

SCR 10368
The timeout for detecting PCon update failure has been extended from 10 seconds to
30 seconds.

SCR 10495
Prevent PCon firmware update failures: the changes made in the previous release (-310)
did not work 100% of the time. Further changes have been made to increase the reliability
of the upgrade process.

Date: Nov 22 2004
Type: Intermediate
Date Code:	K224n
Version:	1000981-310

SCR 10495:
Prevent PCon firmware update failures. Prevents failure of PCon upgrade when it is done
via YModem or storage card. Note that either this change, once flashed into BooSt, or the
PCon change made under the same SCR number, will allow the PCon to thence be
reflashed successfully.

documented by vendor) PXA255 timings.
Resolves compatibility problem with Option Combo cards.

SCR 9291:
Provision for future license requirements when upgrading OS image.

SCR 9444:
Fix crashing problem when BooST connects to winXP. This is a provision for
Netbooks with USB client support.

SCR 9448:
Implement wake on RTC alarm. Note that this requires changes to Pcon and
WinCE images. Please refer to those release notes for compatibility.

SCR 9616 and 9651: Changes for manufacturing.

SCR 8732:
Fixes to some lockup conditions that required all battery removal to recover.
Includes conditions triggered by unexpected actuation of battery door switch.

SCR 8766:
Correct Spanish numlock mode to use comma instead of period.

Other:
Nordic (Danish, Swedish/Finnish, and Norwegian) keyboards also will now
produce a comma instead of a period in numlockmode.

Added Error Correction and Control (ECC) to NAND flash memory areas
controlled by BooSt.
This adds a new ECC checking command to the BooST menu.
ECC will make Netbook Pro more tolerant of random single bit errors that
can occur in flash memory.

The ECC command should be run after first upgrading to this BooST version.

Minor changes to sleep(), mssleep(), and nanosleep() functions
(changes to Pcon also).

Add support for new NAND flash memory type and 256 MB RAM support
(provision for future hardware variants).

Fixed display scrolling problem (BooST display only).

Add support for PXA27x (no affect on Netbook Pro).

BooST can now detect the presence of an internal modem.

Help added for rtc command. (Use rtc ?)
