Graphs.

You can use Gnumeric to create, format and print graphs based on information on the worksheet, for example to show annual sales figures, or the distribution of revenue.

You can create many types of graphs including line graphs, bar and column graphs, scatter charts and pie charts, and can add to or alter many aspects of the graph's appearance by tapping on the area of the graph you wish to change.

Creating a graph

To create a graph:

  1. Enter your data and highlight a column or row of numbers. This will be the first range that your graph depicts. You can add other ranges later on to build up your graph.
  2. Highlight the data including row and column labels.
  3. Select the Graph button on the Standard toolbar and select chart type and click OK.
  4. Depress the cell grid with the stylus until a graph box appears.
  5. Drag the graph box to the desired size and release.
  6. The graph will appear.
  7. Enter a title, and labels for the axes where appropriate.

Advanced Options

Gnumeric offers a range of descriptive, bivariate and multivariate statistical analyses including Correlation and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). These tests are accessible from the Tools menu.
