The Email program begins with a short 'wizard' asking you for details of your e-mail account.
You should then be set up and ready to go:
- Click the 'Compose' button on the toolbar to start a new message. You can type e-mail addresses in the
'To' and 'CC' lines, or you can click the little 'Address book' symbols on the ends of those lines in order to
look up addresses from your Contacts program.
- If you click 'Save' when editing a new message, a copy of it will be saved in the 'Drafts' folder,
where you can come back to it later.
- If instead you click 'Send':
- the Email program will try to send the message straightaway, if you have an Internet
connection at the time. Assuming you do, and the message is sent, a copy will be kept
in the 'Sent' folder.
- if you do not have an Internet connection, the message will be saved in the 'Outbox'
folder, and at a later time, when you do have an Internet connection, you can click the
'Check' button to send it and check for new mail at the same time.
Tip: You cannot re-edit a message in the Outbox. If you need to reedit it, move (drag&drop) it to the 'Drafts'
folder and you can then edit it from there.
You can synchronise your Email Inbox at any time with Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express. Click
'Synchronise with a PC' on the 'Tasks' screen to do this. |
