Calendar

As with the Contacts program, this simple Calendar should be familiar to anybody who has used a "PDA" or personal organiser, or who has used a "Calendar" feature in a "Personal Information Manager" program ("PIM") like Microsoft Outlook, or Lotus Notes.

Double-click in an empty slot to start a new entry. (Alternatively, use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the date and time you want, and start typing.) The 'New entry' dialog has 'tabs' you can click on to set an alarm for the entry, or to make the entry repeat.

To delete an entry, click on it (or move the highlight there) and press the Delete key.

Apart from moving around, and typing and editing entries, the Toolbar provides all of the required functionality - there is no separate menu in Calendar.

There are three buttons on the toolbar offering three different ways to view your Calendar - a Day at a time, a Week at a time, or a Month at a time. Some people prefer to stay in one particular view; some change between them, according to what they are doing at the time.

Whichever you choose, a little title is shown to say which day/week/month is being shown, and if you click the little arrows to either side, you can change what day(s) are shown by a day, a week, a month, or a year at a time.

You can of course Cut, Copy and Paste entire entries, or parts of them, with the hotkeys Ctrl+X/C/V.

You can synchronise your Calendar at any time with Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express. Click 'Synchronise with a PC' on the 'Tasks' screen to do this.
